FDA loses two top oncology leaders

Two of FDA’s most experienced, respected oncology drug reviewers, Paul Kluetz and Marc Theoret, both deputy directors of the Oncology Center of Excellence, announced their resignations from the agency this week.
Their departures come at a time when arbitrary firings, mass layoffs of support staff, and restrictions on communications have led many FDA staff to believe that working conditions are intolerable and career opportunities limited.
