HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s decision to force Peter Marks to leave FDA has plunged the agency into a deeper crisis, exacerbating the turmoil caused by arbitrary firings and massive layoffs. Given a choice between resigning and being fired as director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, Marks chose resignation.
