Quantifying the exodus at FDA

Staffing fell 14% at FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) and 13% at its Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) between June 30 and Sept. 30. 

Those numbers come from quarterly staffing data FDA published Thursday, for fiscal period 2023-2025. According to the report, 325 employees left CBER and 746 left CDER in fiscal 4Q25, which ended Sept. 30.
